Long-distance move from Boston, MA to Jacksonville Beach, FL

Move MA to FL

I can't say enough good things about the amazing movers who helped me relocate from Massachusetts to Florida, with a stop in Connecticut along the way. From the moment they arrived, I felt like I was in good hands. They were friendly, respectful, and incredibly hardworking—exactly the kind of people you hope show up on moving day.

They treated my belongings with care, packed everything securely, and handled the logistics like true pros. What really stood out, though, was how they made such a big, emotional move feel manageable. Moving across multiple states isn't easy, but they stayed calm, communicated clearly, and kept everything on track.

The stop in Connecticut was handled without a hitch, and when everything arrived in Florida, it was just as I’d packed it—no damage, no drama, just a smooth, professional experience. I’m so grateful for their help and would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone planning a long-distance move. Thank you for making this transition easier than I ever expected!

Movers.

We would never recommend this mover. Many expensive good damaged, couches, box spring, tables, buffet, frames, flowers, chairs. In addition, we have missing boxes. On Time Moving is not repairing our furniture, they did not replace our stolen items. They paid a negligible amount toward replacing picture frames, silk flowers. The moving boxes were in terrible shape after the move. It looked like they had been thrown around and were smashed. We have used professional movers several times, and have never had problems. These were not professional movers, they manhandled our personal goods and furniture.

Very particular and detailed

We moved to Texas from Florida. The estimator was very detailed and to the point. The estimate was in person and they never asked for a deposit. The move went of without any issues and i could not have been more satisfied. The estimator was Trad and my crew was Blaine and Brian.

Long-distance move from Cocoa Beach, FL to Littleton, CO

Terrible movers!

I hired On Time Moving and Storage to move items from my deceased fathers home in Florida to my home in Colorado. I was told in writing at the time of booking that I did not need extra insurance because all items being moved were insured for full replacement value, minus a $300 deductible. At the time of packing, a large valuable and fragile amethyst geode was pointed out to the packers and told that it needed to be packed separately. When the items were delivered, the amethyst geode was found at the bottom of a wardrobe box, under kitchen items, a toaster oven, and a small TV. One large piece was broken off the top of the geode, and the body of the geode now has a large crack in it. We filled out the proper claim forms, including a picture of a similar geode from the same store ours was purchased at, showing the value to be $2,590.
On time moving and storage is now saying that our items were only insured at $6/lb. They have offered to replace our $2,500 museum grade geode with a poor quality geode from etsy.com for $200. We have tried for 10 months to work out a fair settlement, with no success. Their last email said “Just because you paid a certain amount for something doesn’t mean it is worth that”.

Long-distance move from Florida to Ohio

I would not recomend this Company.

I am writing this complaint on behalf of my 83 year old Mother. I picked On Time Moving from other moving companies in the area due to a certain office person Bobby who contacted me after making an inquiry on-line for moving estimates. I made an appointment and met with Trad Raven, He came out and gave us an estimate for a whole house move and pack job $5771 up north to Ohio. He told us how he had moving trucks with numerous doors down the side and how my mothers items would not be mixed with any other households for this long distance move up north, He even elaborated on how they do moves for a museum in Daytona Beach. Being the former owner of a moving company it all sounded logical. We talked it over and agreed to use his company and a flat rate move was agreed too. We purchased additional insurance than what was offered by his company. When its came time time finalized the final price including insurance the price of the insurance jumped from $250-300 to $521 dollars. When I questioned Trad Raven about this he said it was because we waited to long to purchase it. This should have raised a red flag.

The day of the move came and the crew showed up the crew leader was directing everyone on how to pack my mothers items as she has a lot of antiques and breakables. Everything went well and we received everything has promised by Trad Raven in our meeting. The second day came to pack the remainder of the items and a completely new crew showed up all except for 1 man. They were all young boys who looked as if they had been picked from a labor pool. When asked who was in charge they all just smiled and no one stepped forward, They handed us a moving agreement which was not what we agreed to. We tried to call the office and no one answered. Also we tried to call Trad Raven and he did not answer either. One person said we could just write on the contract and that would be sufficent. What else could we do ? They proceeded to work and finish the packing which they did not do well we found dirty drills on top of clothing which became oil stained etc.. When they were finished they stood out front waiting for a tip. My mother tipped them being the lady she is. After they left a walk through was done and we found many items left behind. We also found a hole in the wall left by them and not reported to us. The walk through should have been done by On Time Moving. The closing was the next day and the realtor had it fixed since we could not reach Trad Raven. He did deduct $50 from the bill though.

The day of the delivery came and we received a call stating they needed to eat and would be there around 1 oclock. When they arrived a truck and a rental truck arrived. My mothers items were all mixed with the other stops they had to make. The first thing the driver wanted to know is how far Akron was because they had another delivery which needed delivererd today also. Trad Raven sent 2 men to unload a whole house they practicly ran through the unloading just putting boxes anywhere as they needed to get to this other job. Many items were received broken due to poor packing or none at all. Headboards were put on backwards kitchen items were put in bedrooms etc.. When they left it was very late and they just piled up boxes in the formal dining room to get them off of the truck.

I had to travel 130 miles several weekends to finish the unpacking and get things organized once the dust cleared and we could assess all of the damage from the move I filed claim forms and sent them certified mail which I was instructed to do and use the address on the form. The letter was returned 1 month later as undeliverable by the post office. I tried to contact Trad Raven numerous times at the office and could not get him to return my calls. I finally was able to get a hold of him via text and e-mailed the claim forms and pictures to him. It took over 3 weeks to get a check and not for the full value of the loss. For instance they packed a pair of $350 perscription glasses and lost them. When trying to get the full price of the glasses back he said how do I know you did not buy these at Walmart. I offered to contact the company and produce a receipt. They lost numerous items from her deceased husband which cannot be replaced and she is very sad about this. He then proceeded to question the cost of other items they damaged or lost. Enough was enough and we settled for his offer.

My mother has been professionally moved 16 times when her and my father lived together and had never been treated or had the losses she had with this company. This company and owner is very unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone. Buyer Beware do not use them. They were not even On Time.

Outstandingly.

My wife and I have moved several times in the past and this time with us both being in our 50's we decided to get a moving company. Smartest move we made by going with ON TIME MOVING & STORAGE. The initial walk thru and estimate is what really sold us. The movers, Brian and Debboka were outstanding. Did not waste any time and extremely professional. We recommend them highly and would use them again IF we ever move again.

They do not stand behind their word.

Where to begin? Internal miscommunication. Broken items. Damaged goods. Then they accused me of underpaying while seemingly not understanding their own paperwork. The just leave property at one location and take off. This company has no interest in doing "the right thing". Nobody is responsible for anything in this company. They will defer you to other people inside the company and refuse commnication.
Avoid this business.

I have moved with movers all my life and never had such horrible movers.

Long-distance move from Florida to Georgia

Steer Clear at all Costs if Relocating.

Known locally within the moving community as "brokers" without the resources to handle interstate moves, which they invariably use to stage "hostage" crises -- illegally withholding the cargo of customers until they pay the "ransom" demanded by OTM -- in order to exploit the willingness of the Feds to sell consumers out for the sake of licensing revenues and/or the possibility that Interstate Residential Moving is controlled by the Mob, which has its roots in this country in the Trucking Industry, whereas the Feds' approach to dealing with the Mob has always revolved around appeasement and compromise as a matter of necessity (perhaps accounting for why the laws governing Interstate Residential Moving are handled by a Federal licensing agency such as the DOT, as opposed to an actual Federal law enforcement agency such as the FBI, although it is far more likely that the Feds are actively using the specter of Mob influence as a "smokescreen" to facilitate to bilking rogue movers for extra revenues at the expense of consumers). All it would take for the DOT to put an end to the thousands of hostage crises plaguing the country constantly would be to utilize its authority to fine rogue movers up to $10,000 per day for breaking the law -- by simply telling consumers to spend whatever funds they had intended to pay rogue movers towards replacing their cargo until the DOT gets around to fining them -- but the DOT flatly refuses to do so.

In my particular scenario, I unwittingly signed a blank bill of lading when my cargo was picked up on 3/29/16 to be stored locally in Florida until I could locate an apartment in Georgia. When I notified OTM that I had located a prospective unit on 6/3/16 (a Friday), OTM promptly proceeded to demand payment upfront for transport to my new residence and to renege on its verbal agreement to charge by the actual weight of the cargo (reaffirmed when my items were picked up), claiming instead that the "high estimate" they had given me during the onsite inspection of $2,200 was actually a "flat rate" I had agreed to. Since these are behaviors singled out by the DOT as indicators that you are dealing with a "rogue", I immediately set about locating an alternate mover to transfer my cargo to for delivery to Georgia, only to be informed by OTM on 6/6/16 that it was already en route to Georgia at my request on 6/3/16 (I actually told OTM that I had not seen the prospective apartment yet and would get back to them once I had, which did not take place until 6/8/16) and that I would have to pay for both delivery to Georgia and transport back to Florida if I wanted to hire another mover. I proceeded to file complaints with the DOT & BBB that very same day -- to no avail whatsoever, as OTM remains accredited with the BBB and listed in its directory of local movers as one of the "businesses you can trust in Northeast Florida", whereas the DOT still refuses to intervene 4 months after I contacted the DOT Supervisor assigned to my case directly on 8/24/16.

OTM has been blatant about its criminality to the point of freely admitting to the aforementioned Supervisor that its 8/24/16 email offer for me to pick up my cargo free of charge was a fabrication and also threatening on 12/14/16 via email to auction my cargo off if the ransom is not paid immediately. Since OTM is holding a blank bill of lading with no value declared for my cargo  (which OTM went out of its way to highlight when forwarding the bill to MoveRescue.com when I sought their intervention) that would leave them free to report it as "lost" as soon as they received the upfront cash/certified funds that they started demanding in response to my complaints, payment has never been a viable option.

In short, every action OTM has taken since I contacted them to alert them that I had located a prospective apartment has been designed to discourage me from going through with the transport of my cargo to Georgia, so that it could ultimately be auctioned off once it became clear that I was never going to pay the ransom. If OTM had ever intended to do anything else from the outset (especially if OTM charges for storage like they claim), they would have released my cargo to the alternate mover as I requested, sent me a bill for whatever payment they felt was owed them and forwarded it to a collection agency if I refused to pay it for any reason -- which is the legal approach and what all legitimate movers do.

Very poor.

Their rates were good. The quality of the work was not that great but could have been worse. Their was a big variety in the different personnel involved. Their customer service was horrible. After they packed and loaded all our stuff, they gave me the inventory sheets to sign. They were filled with cryptic notes about scratches and other damage to my furniture. I asked the leader of their crew why they didn't let me know what they saw as they loaded it so we could be in mutual agreement; there's no way I would remember whether and what scratches were on my stuff. He said, "Then you would have been on my back all day." They had already put all my stuff on the truck, so I basically had no choice but to sign "accepting" agreement of all these notations that protected them from any claims. Since it was a long distance move, I asked the team leader whether they would contract with local companies to unload at my destination. He said, "Yah, we go down to the unemployment office and see who needs a job." Then he shook my hand and walked out of my house laughing and shaking his head.

They were a few days late delivering. But, they denied ever having promised the initial delivery date. This was after two separate people had each given the date to myself and my wife separately. The delay wasn't a big deal. It cost me a few extra nights hotel bill, but lying to try to cover up a mistake makes you wonder what else they may have been dishonest about.

They did some lazy and foolish things like stuffing the bottom of wardrobe boxes with clothes on hangers which defeats the purpose of hanging wardrobe boxes (but saves on boxes). And they packed fly-paper in the boxes, which made a gross, sticky mess. I mean, did they seriously think I wanted to ship dirty fly paper. They insisted on disassembling part of a desk, saying, "we won't get away with shipping this together." And then that piece got stained by something. The desk will have to be refinished to remove it.

The unloading team lead was very nice and worked very hard, but they put big gouges into my wood floor because the packers kept the clothing inside a very heavy chest rather than take the time to pack the clothes inside of it. This made the already heavy furniture almost unmanageable for the unloading team.

I would not recommend this company and would certainly not use them again. Horrible experience, and most of it was so easily avoidable.

On Time Moving and Storage is the Best in Florida.

I am so glad I found Joseph and Chris and the whole crew at On Time Moving and Storage. Leda is a real sweetheart and kept me updated on everything before hand and even called after the move to see if everything was ok. I have had some really bad experiences from other companies (broken stuff, scratched furniture and stolen stuff). I have never had to move in August & never realized how busy it is for movers in the summer however they worked me into their busy schedule last minute. The guys were on time and very polite. I had to move me 5 miles away from one apartment to another because of a smoking issue with the property. I am a non smoker and had just moved into the complex 4 months ago. My stuff was in perfect condition when I got to my new place( they wrap everything so NO DAMAGE to your furniture) I will never use anyone else and highly recommend On Time Moving and Storage in St Augustine Fl.

Bad Customer Service.

Worst experience and largest fiasco ever. Made reservation a month early on holiday weekend. They ended up being overbooked so they outsoursed my move to another company. The miscommunication between them was ridiculous. Price quoted from Ontome was not same as on work order. They left saying "we have another job. We gotta go.", as I was on phone with ontime. Took them an hour to come back and 3 calls to ontime. No one cared to call me back. Customer service was nonexistant. I do have to say Leta was nice and assured me the outsource company would do great. Too bad it all fell apart. Lots more happened, just sick of thinking about it. I suggest you NOT use these movers!

Long-distance move from Jacksonville, FL to Pioneer, OH

Best movers ever!!

I moved from Jacksonville Fl to northwest Ohio on June 20. From Joe who came by for the estimate, to phone calls to Leida, to Yul and Joe who actually did the move, I encountered nothing but professionalism! This was a huge move for me and I was totally a wreck!! But Leida always made me feel so much better whenever I called. Yul and Joe helped me with the packing as I wasn’t entirely ready when they arrived. On the 22nd I arrived at my new condo and it was just a few hours later that the movers arrived! This was at 1:30a.m.!! They got my bedroom and closets all set up so that I could sleep in my own bed!! At 3:00 a.m. they were on there way to there next pick up. If I ever have to move, I would definitely use On Time Movers and I highly recommend them to anyone whether it’s just a move in Florida or across country!! It was a most pleasant experience and I’m so glad to have found them via Angie’s List! I chose to use the flat rate versus having my things weighed. The cost was $2,200.

Move from Florida to Ohio in December 2018.

We recently used On Time Moving and Storage for a move from Florida to Ohio. I was initially impressed by the friendliness of the staff that I spoke with. They took lots of time explaining the process and were very upfront about everything. Everything went very smooth and they followed through on all that they promised. No surprises. Very satisfied and I highly recommend them. I would without a doubt use them again if the need arises.

Long Distance Movers 3000 miles twice..

I am a single female. I have to research extra hard to ensure my choices are on point, I have used this company twice, Both times I was pleased beyond my expectations. I initially met Joe {On time moving} after I had been cheated out of 500 dollars by a broker company that had done this to others previously. Joe told me to do my research. He presented a portfolio with everything they offered and I needed to do. I have used this company twice to move from Fl to Nevada and back to Fl. They took so much care in my items.
They packed with speed and precision. I was actually in the way trying to help. They politely smiled and said thanks ma'am. I tried staying out of the way. I went and just bought lunch knowing they were working so hard and would not stop to go and eat. On the first move to Nevada, it was so cold and I lived all the way on the 3rd floor. I had just started my new job. The drivers were aware and delivered my things late in the evening to help me out, They stayed and hooked my bed and electronics up to help me.They did not leave until the early am. I fell asleep at one point on the floor, waking heard them say lets hurry and put her bed up. The movers that returned my items to Fl were awesome as well. They worked around my time and apartment rules. Mr. Rob and Alonzo moved so quickly and efficient that I was pleased again beyond measure. I know sometimes it is hard to please me. I do not have one bad comment about On time Moving. Working in Corporate America or any job you can tell when employees are treated right and willing to work well for the company. Leda and Chris in the office will make sure they work around all of your crazy demands our time schedule as best as they could. Leda even promised me if they picked up more routes she would try and work on the pricing since at the time they were only coming for my things. She did as promised. As consumers we do not pack as a professional company is trained to do. I say that because my movers repacked boxes that I thought were good. They were protecting my items. I have only ever completed 2 previous reviews for a company so this is not my thing. I was not compensated for this review. I was not promised anything. I just believe in given credit when credit is due. I will not use anyone but On Time Movers period! I pray the best for you all that always go above and beyond for Trina.
Thank You So Much!

My move with On Time Moving and Storage

So glad that I hired On Time Moving and Storage for our move from Florida to Missouri.

Leda was the first person I spoke with, and she is just awesome! Talking to her was the main reason I chose On Time, very helpful, knowledgeable and caring of my concerns about such a major life moving experience.

Trad, our estimator, came to our home, looked at all of our belongings, and gave us a fair and binding in-person quote. He also gave us some great tips and moving advice, with no pressure to sign anything.

Robb, Eldridge, and Larry, our movers, were also fantastic. They carefully protected, loaded and unloading our belongings like it was their own stuff, and they worked as hard as I’ve seen anyone work in a long time. We just knew we had picked the right company.

If I owned a company, these are the kind of people I would want on my staff, as theyall really enhance the company’s good name and reputation!

Long-distance move from Osteen, FL to New Brighton, PA

Don't trust the word of Trad Ravon

DO NOT TAKE TRAD RAVON AT HIS WORD. Get every detail in writing! TRAD RAVON DOES NOT HONOR HIS WORD.

Trad Ravon, the salesman, came to our home to provide us with an estimated cost to move our property from Florida to Pennsylvania.

He surveyed every thing that we wanted move. He said we would need to book an entire 53 foot trailer for our move. He said we would have exclusive use of the 53 foot trailer and it would transport our goods directly to our new home in Pennsylvania. Only our goods would be onboard the trailer from our home in Florida to our new home in Pennsylvania.

He told us our property would be at our new address in Pennsylvania between 12/26 and 12/30. The truck finally arrived on 1/6/24.

The 53 foot trailer had 23 feet of empty space aboard when it arrived with my goods in PA. The truck driver said he made two delivery stops before arriving at my door. . One stop in New Jersey and the other stop in Massachusetts. I spent the entire day helping the movers and using my truck to drive our goods up the driveway to assist in the move. Trad also promised a second smaller truck would come to our new home in Pa. to transport our goods up to the house from the big truck in the street. It didn't materialize.

When we asked National Van Lines for a partial refund of the cost of the exclusive use on the 53 foot trailer they rejected our claim out-of-hand. They said there wasn't anything in writing that stated that we had exclusive use of the entire 53 Foot trailer. Trad Ravon denied he made any representation for exclusive use of the 53 foot truck to the National Van Lines claims investigator. Instead, they sent a check for a measly $100 per day of delayed delivery.

$15,080 in moving charges and Trad would not admit that he promised us exclusive use of a 53 foot truck which cost an extra $2000. I guess that went into Trad's pocket!

Still making repairs to the items they broke. Still putting stuff back together to the items they took apart. Trad Ravon said they would put everything back together. BEWARE OF TRAD RAVON AND HIS WORD! IT'S WORTHLESS TO THE CUSTOMER. Steve Oravets

First class service.

On time, professional, no damage to belongings, reasonably priced.  overall a class act and a good experience with this company. highly recommended. I had opted for a flat rate charge for the move, but when the movers arrived, they said it would be cheaper if I went with an hourly rate which saved me several hundred dollars.  the honesty was appreciated.

Long distance move.

After a couple of months getting my condo fixed and having everything stored in the basement, I finally began unpacking the mountain of boxes from the move. I relocated from St. Augustine FL to the Akron Ohio area just before the holidays, which was very stressful to begin with! The packers were wonderful but I am now finding so many things missing that I packed and that the packers did too, mostly items that were in my garage! Every box was labeled by me as to what it contained and where it should go, I.e., the specific room..imagine my surprise when I went looking for items, tool kits etc. and they were nowhere to be found! But I did have someone else's items! Would I ever recommend this company?? NEVER!! Too many missing boxes and damaged furniture items delivered, things gone that cannot be replaced..better to go with a large moving company and forget local businesses to avoid disappointment, anger and loss, especially On Time Moving and Storage!
